Don’t let your mail-in/absentee ballot registration expire
The League of Women Voters of Florida reminds voters wishing to cast an absentee ballot that they can make a request or renew an absentee ballot with a simple phone call to their local Supervisor of Elections. Renewals can also be made online or via mail. An absentee ballot requested is good for two general election cycles following the initial period under Florida law, (FS. 101.62(1)(a). After that initial period, however, the request must be renewed or it will automatically sunset. You can renew your mail-in/absentee ballot status with the Monroe County Supervisor of Elections and online.
